Hardwick Park, on the edge of Sedgefield
Right Lines Communications is based in the small town (a village in all but name) of Sedgefield, County Durham. It's a great place (we are biased!) and our team gets involved in various bits and bobs in the local community.
Chris Lines writes a monthly sports column for local community newsletter Sedgefield News and the Right Lines team was heavily involved in the organisation of the first Sedgefield Village Games, inspired by the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, and held in June and July of the same year.
Sedgefield Town Council
In May 2013, Chris Lines was elected to Sedgefield Town Council. Along with 14 other town councillors, Chris represents the interests of the community and plays an active role in many projects in Sedgefield.
The World of the Dooblies
With strange ideas by Charlie Lines, pictures by Ciaran Lines and words by Chris Lines, 'Here Come the Dooblies' is the first book that will take children and adults alike into the wonderful world of the Alphazooblies, a place full of adventure and fun ways to learn and play with letters. The book is written - we just need to get it published now. If you want to find out more, get in touch with Chris.
Mayor of Sedgefield
Chris was recently Mayor of Sedgefield (for the 2016-17 civic year). During his term of office, he raised money for three specific charities:
Chris enjoyed the role, which was a real honour and privilege, and managed to raise over £7,200 during the year.
Sedgefield Round Up
Every week, Chris Lines distributes an email highlighting 'stuff' that has happened, is happening or is on the horizon, all in and around Sedgefield.
Each update item is short and sweet, with links for more information where appropriate. Anyone who is interested can sign up for the Sedgefield Round Up by sending an email to email@example.com or tweeting a message to @sedgefieldlines.
Right Lines Communications is a vocal supporter of local athletics club Sedgefield Harriers. Chris Lines has been a member of the club for several years and is involved in various Harriers' initiatives. Chief of these is the club's campaign to bring a running track to Sedgefield.
This is a crucial project for the long term success of the Sedgefield Harriers. Already one of the fastest growing club's in the North East, the Harriers is determined to develop the next generation of county, national and even international athletes. The track is an essential element of achieving those objectives. You can read more on the Harriers website.
